Severe flash floods have devastated communities across Nepal, particularly along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors.
The disaster struck on 26 August, tearing through homes, roads, bridges and hydropower infrastructure. The scale of the emergency has continued to grow as search and rescue teams reach affected areas.
As of 2 September, more than 1,000 people have been reported killed and nearly 4,000 remain missing. Thousands more have been rescued, while damaged roads and infrastructure continue to make some communities difficult to reach.

The floods have caused widespread destruction across communities in Rasuwa and surrounding districts, damaging homes, roads, bridges, communications and essential infrastructure.
