Feed Our World
Every Meal is a Lifeline

Fighting hunger. Nourishing hope.

The world is facing a growing hunger crisis. In 2024, over 295 million people across 53 countries experienced acute food insecurity, the highest in six consecutive years. Conflict, climate change, and economic instability are pushing millions to the brink of famine.

Why Hunger Is Rising
  • Conflict displaces families and destroys farmland, cutting off food supplies in places like Yemen, Sudan, and Ukraine.
  • Climate extremes, droughts, floods, and heatwaves, are wiping out harvests and livestock.
  • Economic shocks like inflation and currency collapse make food unaffordable for millions.
  • Food waste remains rampant, with one-third of global food lost before reaching those in need.
The Human Cost

Famine has already been declared in parts of Sudan. In Gaza, food access is so restricted that famine is imminent. Malnutrition among children is rising fast, threatening long-term health and development.

How Penny Appeal Responds
  • Emergency food packs and hot meals
  • Sustainable farming support
  • Food waste recovery and redistribution
