Warm Blanket for a family
Winter clothing for two people
Food essentials for a family
After years of relentless conflict, over 24 million people, 80% of the population, are struggling to survive amid war, famine and economic collapse. Families are going hungry, children are wasting away from malnutrition, and millions teeter on the brink of famine.
In recent months, devastating flash floods swept through displacement camps in Marib Governorate, destroying the few shelters and belongings families had left. Those already displaced by war have been uprooted again, their tents, food stores and clothing washed away. As they struggle to rebuild from this disaster, winter is fast approaching, threatening to push them beyond survival.
With temperatures plummeting across Marib, Taiz and Al-Hudaydah, over 4.5 million displaced Yemenis face freezing winds and rain in makeshift shelters. For children, the elderly and the sick, the cold season can be a death sentence. Lives are lost every year simply because families lack access to warm clothing, blankets and safe shelter.
The people of Yemen are not only enduring the ravages of war but also facing the merciless grip of winter, following floods that stripped them of what little they had left. Without urgent aid, countless lives will be lost.
