Yusuf/Cat Steven’s Peace Train has landed in Australia and made it’s way from Perth to Adelaide and now Melbourne, where lucky residents get to see through the eyes of the artist himself by visiting ‘The Laughing Apple’ Exhibition which showcases posters of digital and hand drawn illustrations by Yusuf Islam, otherwise known as Cat Stevens. The exhibition runs in concert with Yusuf’s Peace Train Tour commemorating 50 years since releasing the debut album Matthew & Son in 1967.
The images will be signed by Yusuf and are available for purchase below. Proceeds will be generously donated to Penny Appeal Australia’s Love Thy neighbour initiative, which supports local projects within Australia.
The exhibition is now open to the public at the Islamic Museum in Melbourne on Tuesday-Saturday between 10am-4pm.
